Library and Literacy support

Our library is more than just a room full of books—it's a welcoming and vibrant learning space where students are encouraged to explore, imagine and grow.

Whether your child is discovering a new favourite story, researching a class project or exploring digital technologies, the library is a place where curiosity is celebrated and learning comes to life.

What Happens in the Library?

Students visit the library each week to:

  • Explore a wide range of print and digital resources
  • Build information literacy and critical thinking skills
  • Experience the joy of reading for fun and learning

Literacy Programs That Support Learning

Our staff  work closely with classroom teachers to deliver programs that:

  • Encourage independent reading and lifelong learning habits
  • Support individual students' needs and interests

These programs are carefully designed to suit each year level and are woven into everyday learning.

Fun Beyond the Books

The library is also a space where students can relax, play and connect with friends. During break times, students can enjoy:

  • Chess
  • LEGO building
  • Minecraft
  • Card games
  • Board games
  • Craft
  • Homework and assignment catch-up

These activities help children develop problem-solving skills, creativity, social skills and confidence in a friendly and inclusive environment.
